We are glowing from a great big warm hug from our awesum region since we put the shout out about our upcoming event for Max’s Rescue Horses.
Business owners and members of the public are stepping up to our call with some pretty rad donations including Bassett Barks pledging a shed incl transporting and construction, value approx $3,000. The Feed Barn at Beerwah, have also received over $250 from locals wanting to help cover feeding costs.
Max Chapman who is the guardian of these gorgeous animals, is an ex-mountie and detective and proves just a little kindness and love lets any animal’s spirit fly. “Rocky”, who is stunning, was bought initially by race trainers the Freedmans for $120k but once injured, was deemed “useless”.
The upcoming event “Wild Horses Wouldnt Drag Us Away – Help Max’s Rescues” is one where the region can help give back to the man who gives so much to animals and the Coast (see this link . We are seeking musicians to play on the day – any genre welcome.
The event is being held on a property in the Glasshouse Mtns. Max’s horses live in the paddock and guests will be able to touch and see first hand how these horses are so loved. Also on the property are another 4 horses who are rescues, cared for by various girls in the community. So much love and kindness. Delicious food also available on the day.
