HOW IT WORKS
The idea is simple, you set yourself a target of kilometres for the month…and pedal it down.
Anyone can take part from any location across the country and you can ride by yourself or create a team with your friends, cycling club or workplace.
You can ride your bike outdoors or take on the Spin Bike Challenge.
You can ride anywhere at any time during October, simply log your kilometres via our FREE app or add them manually through your profile page.
Here’s how it works…
SET YOURSELF A TARGET
Set yourself a target of kilometres for the month of October as your personal cycling challenge to fight kids’ cancer.
Note: You can change your target at any time during the challenge.
START YOUR CHALLENGE
Start your challenge on the 1st October with thousands of other riders across the country.
You can ride during the week, on weekends or take on your own personal cycling challenge for a week or a month – it’s up to you!
LOG YOUR KILOMETRES
Log your kilometres throughout the month for every ride you complete.
You can log your kilometres in the following 3 ways:
1. VIA OUR FREE APP
Our Great Cycle Challenge app will allow you to easily record your kilometres and will automatically add each ride straight onto your rider profile page (including the km ridden, date and the location).
You can download the app in early September.
2. VIA YOUR OWN GPS DEVICE
Already use a GPS enabled device like a Garmin or Bryton to track your rides? No problem. You can upload your ride file into your Great Cycle Challenge account and have your rides (and kilometres) added to your rider profile page.
If you are using a standard odometer or taking part in the Spin Bike Challenge, you can add your kilometres manually into your Great Cycle Challenge dashboard and have these displayed on your rider profile page.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Once registered, you will receive your own personal profile page from which you can track your progress and share your challenge to fight kids’ cancer!
Your rider profile page will display each of your rides and also show the total kilometres you’ve ridden throughout the month.
