Christmas carols at Kings Beach
Join the festive celebrations as the Kings Beach amphitheatre comes alive with the spirit of Christmas, at Sunshine Coast Council’s free family-friendly Carols on Kings on Sunday 22 December 2013.
The Carols on Kings program is jam-packed with festive cheer and an exciting line up of talented performers and children’s entertainment, including an appearance by our favourite bearded man in red – Santa.
Sing along to your favourite carols with local favourites including Andrew Redford, William Clift, Mia Wray, Danae Grant, sisters Genevieve and Bridget O’Brien, Starz Dance Academy, Caloundra Chorale and Sunshine Coast Performing Arts Company.
For the youngsters, the Brett Campbell Kids Christmas Show promises to delight and will have families up dancing and singing.
So bring a blanket and picnic basket (no glass or alcohol) from 4pm to secure your spot and enjoy the roving entertainment before the official carols program starts at 5.30pm. Local community organisations are also on site selling food, drink and some festive cheer.
Take advantage of the special event free parking at both the Transit Centre in Cooma Terrace and in Queen Street near the Caloundra High School. A free shuttle bus will operate from 4.30pm until 9.30pm with stops at the Transit Centre, Moreton Parade (Kings Beach Amphitheatre) and Queen Street (in front of the high school).
