We think it great that members of our community are willing to lend a hand and stand up for something and it is very encouraging to see that Mark McArdle Member for Caloundra will trade his office for the kitchen this Saturday as part of McHappy Day celebrations.
It’s the 6th year Mr McArdle will be helping out at Caloundra’s local McDonald’s Restaurants in a bid to raise much needed funding for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
‘’It’s a wonderful initiative to get behind and anyone can help out,’’ Mr McArdle said.
‘’By dropping in to your local McDonald’s restaurant on November 10 you can make a difference by simply purchasing a Big Mac or donating.
‘’Since the first McHappy Day, the Australian community has helped raise over $20 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities and that’s just a fantastic result.’’
Mr McArdle said he’s been in training and is ready to handle whatever McDonald’s crew throws his way.
‘’My wife Judy has had me practicing at home,’’ Mr McArdle said.
‘’I’ve been on dinner and washing up duty, so I’m ready to be put to work.’’
Mr McArdle will be helping out at McDonald’s Currimundi, Cnr Nicklin Way & Bellara Drive, from 1:30pm- 2pm and McDonald’s Caloundra, 77 Bowman Road at 2:15pm.
