Mooloolah well and truly performed its arts off Saturday night 3rd November with a full line up of performers showcasing a diverse range of local talent from people of all ages. The night offered a broad variety of musical talent from piano accordion, some dancing, established and emerging solo artists. Miss Marie sang like an angel and Sulco rocked the house.
The vibe was fun and funky as people got creative with the funky hat and shoes theme. The creativity didn’t stop there as the audience showed their artistic talents with crayons and pencils at the butcher paper covered tables. Some created amazing artworks whilst enjoying the night, others wrote poetry, doodled or played board games.
Creativity flowed on in the kitchen with Nacho’s being new to the menu, which proved very popular.
This community initiative is auspiced by the Hinterland Community Development Association, supported by the Mooloolah Valley Community Association and has received funding from the Sunshine Coast Council.
So if you haven’t already experienced the phenomenon that is ‘Mooloolah Performing Our Arts Off’, come along, bring your friends and family and be part of the creative vibe next time.
The next event is happening on Saturday 16th February 2012. The event kicks off from 5.30pm and runs to 9:00pm at the Mooloolah Public Hall, Bray Road. For more information contact Jean 0418 720 515 or find us on facebook.
