Internationally renowned violin virtuoso, Attilla Sautov, will be making a debut appearance in Maleny at the end of this month. Although Attilla is no stranger to the most prestigious concert halls in the world, he is lured by smaller settings that heighten his audience connection, and the hall at the Maleny Community Centre is one of the venues he is including in his current Spring Tour.
A concert with Attilla is an astounding experience. He rivals the world’s best violinists with his phenomenal virtuosic skills. He guides his 1812 violin through pizzicatos, trills, ponticello and harmonics, often simultaneously and at unbelievable speeds, yet is able to convey immense emotion, depth and richness, often moving audience members to tears.
A child prodigy in Tashkent, Attilla went on to study in Moscow and then entertained audiences with an international solo career, performing in over forty countries. However, despite his accolades, experience and incredible talent, he is approachable and relaxed, and he delights with his ad-lib anecdotes and charming sense of humour.
For this particluar performance, Attilla will be joined by members of the Australian Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra on violin, viola, cello and double bass as well as lyric soprano, Anna Butterworth. Together, they will present a beautiful program, featuring Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Bach’s Violin Concerto in E major, Concerto Grosso in C minor by Corelli, Handel’s Lascia Ch’io Pianga, plus Carlos Gardel’s Tango from the movie ‘Scent of a Woman’.
Come along and hear some of the most powerful, impassioned and colourful music in the solo violin and voice repertoire.
Maleny Community Centre, 23 Maple Street, Maleny, Sunday 29 November 3pm.
