The Charity Sports has something for everyone, with lots of activities for children. This year the colouring competition entry form is available from the Beerwah Library or the Glasshouse Country news website, and completed forms should be returned to the library or GCN office by Wednesday 21 August. Winners will be announced on the day.
Cancer Council mascot Sid the Seagull will arrive about 10.00am with free sample bags for the first 100 children. The horse events include a junior ring program, special classes for under 8s, and the popular fancy dress class for children under 14 and their horses. Also on the program: Australia Zoo Croc Cruiser, novelty athletics, pet parade, animal nursery, clown and puppets, rides and face painting.
Other highlights include: Scarecrow Competition winners on display, Strong Man demonstration, Light Horse display, Show & Shine, street entertainment, alpacas, dog ute jumping competition, broom throwing and egg throwing, vintage vehicles, Coastal Village Market stalls, photography competition, Super Strawberry winner announced, fashion parade and music.
