It’s might not be too late to send your kids (Students) to China if you called them now and asked if they could go, (better late than never)
This is an opportunity for students to Experience China first-hand as part of youth cultural exchange, and cultural exchange event organised by the Sunshine Coast Council as part of the Student / Business Exchange program.
“The cost per student participant is approximately $2500 – which includes return economy class airfares, visa fee and travel insurance, tour shirts and caps, and a small gift pack for each student to provide gifts to new friends. Individual spending will be at the discretion of parents.
Numbers are limited to 30, so students are encouraged to discuss this opportunity with their parents at the earliest opportunity
Division 5 Councillor Jenny McKay said Sunshine Coast students are encouraged to participate in this youth cultural exchange tour, particularly if they have a special interest in languages, art or music.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to experience Chinese culture and way of life first-hand in one of the most desirable lifestyle regions in mainland China,” Cr McKay said.
Sunshine Coast Council is coordinating a unique youth cultural exchange opportunity with its sister city of Xiamen, on the coast of Fujian Province, southern China, next April.
The exchange, led by council-appointed chaperones, will take place over one week between April 6 and 14, 2014 – during the Queensland school holidays.
General phone enquiries can be made to council’s Youth Exchange Coordinator on 5441 9374.
Applications close on Thursday December 5 and further details about the exchange are on council’s webpage http://www.business.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/
