Mooloolah Performing Our Arts Off

There is much anticipation as Mooloolah awaits the next Mooloolah Performing Our Arts Off night to be held at the public hall on Saturday 16th February 2013

This family friendly event will once again showcase a diverse range of local emerging and established performers, including musicians, dancers, actors and more.

There will be a FREE kids drumming workshop for all ages from 5.30pm – 6.30pm (bring a hand drum if you have one). Headline performers for this event include Louise (The Voice) Kennedy Richardson and Tayhg Pomfret.

The theme for this event is 60’s and Hippies so get creative to be in the running for a groovy prize.

Event coordinator, Jean Crowe, said that the talent coming from Mooloolah and surrounding communities just keeps getting better and better. “The night gives both emerging and established artists a platform to perform learn from and support each other” she said.

“It also provides a place for members of the community to come and enjoy great entertainment, great food and family friendly fun”

The event is Auspiced by the Hinterland Community Development Association and supported by the Mooloolah Valley Community Association. This community initiative is funded by Sunshine Coast Council.

Acts of all talents and ages can register beforehand or turn up on the night. Audience members can either book seats or just come along. Entry is by donation and everyone is in the running for a lucky door prize. There will be a cosy kids corner plus adult creativity in the audience with drawing and games. Dahl and rice will be new to the menu, along with hot dogs, lamingtons, tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks for sale.

The event kicks off from 5.30pm and runs to 9:30pm at the Mooloolah Hall, Bray Road. For more information contact Jean 0418 720 515 or via email hcdworker.jean and like us on Facebook for more details. Don’t miss this great fun-filled night out!
