Question: Why did you move to Beerwah?

October 9, 2015 by Glasshouse Country 23 Comments

What a brought you to Beerwah?

I’m interested in knowing why people choose to live in Beerwah.

We all have reasons for moving into a region: and perhaps we stay in the region for reasons different from those that brought us here. – Who knows?

Please kindly consider sharing what brings you to Beerwah?

Farming became too tough so purchased a business in Beerwah, best decision we have ever made, couldn’t be happier and it has the best golf course in Australia.

I moved here after 20 years of being away from Qld. I lived on 30 acres and didn’t want to live in the city. Beerwah is fantastic and I love love love the people.

John: Wendy and I arrived in Beerwah 13 years ago by accident. We were returning on a Sunday from a visit to Hervey Bay for a friend’s 50th birthday and had a cuppa along Simpson Street and then had a look in some real estate windows. A real estate lady happened to be on duty and we explained that one day we may move from Ferny Hills, Brisbane, to a country centre with some space. She insisted on showing us “the ideal place” which was on 3/4 acre and we signed up on the spot, subject to the sale of our home which was 14 km from the city.

We have observed the spectacular growth of the Hinterland area, Beerwah in particular, met nice neighbours and have settled in well.

Impressions? – well I do James Cagney a bit but have not got the Beerwah residents down pat yet! Seriously, we find access is excellent to Brisbane (including the airport) both Caloundra and Caboolture (plus the Kilcoy area) particularly now with the new Roys Road-Bells Creek link to Caloundra and the Bruce Highway generally and are very happy with both the fast-growing retail and many established trade services in the Beerwah area.

There is a humidity factor in summer which is distressing but that is offset by many other benefits
