Beerwah and Feeling Blessed

November 29, 2015 by Glasshouse Country 4 Comments

It’s wonderful living in Beerwah and knowing that on this Lazy Sunday morning #Christians will be preparing themselves to do good things, or choosing to be with people who feel it’s important to make a difference in their community. Whether it’s the Beerwah Christmas Carols #beerwahchristmascarols in a few weeks time or the #BeerwahChaplains at the Beerwah State High School #BSHS or Christian College, #Glasshousechristiancollege or the pastors and leaders from all the local #Beerwah Churches. It may be the local Coffee Shop owner dishing out live music and monthly artworks.

From where I live I can see the local traffic rolling by, whether it’s my colleagues late for work, school or church or my pals returning or heading out to their long rides and runs, or locals with dogs hanging out of the car window, Damo Collins training for the next international event and smashing out +200km rides all in one go.  It’s all a gorgeous tapestry of people doing life together and making the most of what we have been given.

So if you are a christian brother or sister out there, consider this: If you are staying out of trouble, raising your kids as best you can and working for your boss as best as you are able, or if you’re using your skills and time to help others then you are making Beerwah and the rest of the world a much better place.

Popular media will try and tell you that everyones a bad guy, and that the outlook for the future is bleak and miserable, but let me tell you it’s not like that. From Music to Art and Entertainment, Education, and Trades to Law Enforcement there are wonderful people doing good and waiting for their King to make it all perfect again.

Here is one of our locals Laimon Eglentals retelling the story of Jonah and the Whale. #LaimonEglentals

I came here to say this but got sidetracked by good deeds.

Definitely reckon there’s a lot more good done by people that aren’t Christian.
