Footpath from Beerwah to Glasshouse

March 15, 2016 by Glasshouse Country Leave a Comment

We have some of the most splendid mountains on the Sunshine Coast, but if you think you can walk to them from Beerwah or Glasshouse, then think again.

It’s great news that Cr Rick Baberoski has committed to completing the footpath between Beerwah and Glasshouse if he gets re-elected, this really ought to have been planned and done a long time ago. – still better late than never.

Here a quote from his Facebook page:

Building pathways and cycleways is part of council’s job, and I’m proud of what we got done this term, and excited for what we’ve set up for next term. For example, the Kello Road/Beerwah Sportsground Pathway was built 2014/15, and is the first stage of a pathway link that will fully connect Glass House Mountains and Beerwah – I am determined to complete that link next term if re-elected.

Whoever gets in (and I hope it will be Rick) this will need to be done.  We the community pay exorbitant rates in Beerwah and the surrounding towns and we get very little in return.
