Meet Janelle a local from Beerwah who thrives not only on life but on a wide range of outdoor activities including triathlons, duathlons, trail bike riding and running. Janelle is also actively engaged in a range of other entrepreneurial activities including photography and face painting. As mother to 5 grown children, her secret seems to be ‘experiencing life‘, and sharing her passion for living with others.
Janelle’s love for of her Father (who was diagnosed with prostate cancer), is easily demonstrated by her active involvement in raising awareness of prostate cancer. In Janelles’ own words: “This year I am running in the Sunshine Coast Marathon doing the full Marathon and I’m very happy and proud to also be accepted to run with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia with the TEAM ‘SAVE A MAN’ in the AUCKLAND MARATHON in November, 2014” she explained – “It’s for My Dad and everyone’s Dad and brothers, Uncles, Sons, Nephews, Pa’s, Grandfathers, and any male who is important to you.” ( edit: – it’s unfortunate that Janelle was unable to participate in the Auckland Marathon, 2014, due to a road bike accident a few weeks earlier)
Janelle will be participating in “Shave for a Cure” at the 12pm on Saturday the 8th of November, 2014, at the Glasshouse Mountains Sports Club (Sport Bar) – 12pm. Why not pop round to support and encourage her.
