Thoughts about Traffic Problems in Beerwah

September 20, 2013 by Glasshouse Country Leave a Comment

road safety signWho would have thought we would ever see traffic problems in Beerwah?  Or for that matter that we would have three large schools and  a number of childcare organisations, a sports centre, and multiple shopping centres, an old age home, or that our town would be split in two by a bypass?

I guess that might just be the problem, “Nobody Thought” and now we had traffic concerns and safety issues which are simply not being dealt with.

The “old days” and era when  townfolk meet in the market place or community centre, to raise “hell” or lynch the mayer and resolve issues are over, hopefully they will return and people will gather to meet face to face. Until then, if you are reading this article you are using some sort of social media, so why not use your “social media voice” to make a change for the better.

For example: you may feel strongly about the way our Town is being developed, or about other issues, as I do  for example feel that the three schools should be integrated into the town with footpaths and cycle paths linking the three schools with libraries and the shopping complexes.

The website is about all of us, you might find an interest on this website and make a comment, or perhaps you might consider running a section yourself, if this interests you please give me a call, either way we still have traffic issues in Beerwah that won’t go away till we do something about it or should we wait until a child is hurt and then morn together as a community?

I look forward to your comments.
