Roys Road Cross Road Closing for Beerwah Residents

November 19, 2010 by Glasshouse Country Leave a Comment

Pressure is mounting to urgently bitumen a forestry underpass linking Roys Road to Beerwah under the Bruce Highway. Two of the main intersection crossings on the highway will be closed from next Monday (August 29, 2011). The only sealed alternative can add 20km to a return trip making some residents angry.

Chamber of Commerce President, Patricia Shaw reminds of the losses of life the township has suffered over the years.

Outgoing Division One Councillor, Anna Grosskruetz wants the State Government to bitumen the forestry track underpass.
