Debby Parsons and the Circle of Sound

September 14, 2013 by Glasshouse Country Leave a Comment

Sunshine Coast got Young Talent - Beach House Bar and GrillDebby Parsons from ‘Circle of Sound Entertainment’ hosts an ‘Open Mic Night’ monthly for 7-17 years at Caloundra Surf Club. Kings Beach, Cafe Le Monde Noosa and The Beach House Bar and Grill, Sunshine Plaza M’dore.

This relaxed open mic event gives students the opportunity to perform in front of a welcoming audience, and helps to build their confidence.

There is a sound engineer at each event, so students only need to bring their instruments or backing tracks. Names get written on the black or white board on arrival.

This event is not a competition; each musician is introduced at the start and thanked after their performance.

More importantly, it’s about supporting one another! Every performer receives a free meal, which encourages families to purchase a meal.

Depending on attendance, the students usually get to play 2 – 3 songs each.

Overall these are lovely, affirming family events offering expression and exposure to an array of different talents on the sunshine coast.
